The platform
One precision platform. Two engines. A portfolio of applications.
ArrowBiome isn’t a product company. We have developed two highly modular and versatile platform technologies that selectively support the skin microbiome, and spin off application after application.
ArcherZyme® is a phage-derived enzyme that recognises and selectively acts on bacteria associated with underarm odour, such as S. hominis, while leaving the rest of the skin community undisturbed.
The paradigm shift
From chemical brute force to biological precision.
Antibiotics, antiseptics, aluminium
Conventional antimicrobials
- Broad: acts on good & bad
- Harsh: irritation, imbalance, barrier damage
- The “nuclear bomb”
Add or nourish microbes
“Microbiome-friendly” pre/pro/postbiotics
- Indirect: not targeted
- Inconsistent: slow, subtle
- Largely unproven against pathogens
Archer™ + Forge™
ArrowBiome targeted lysin technology
- Highly selective: addresses only the implicated species
- Clinically evaluated: rapid, significant
- Microbiome-preserving: defensible IP
The science behind selectivity
Abundance isn’t activity.
Blunt, abundance-based approaches are the wrong model. C. acnes can make up 46–90% of microbial reads on skin yet account for only 2–31% of functional activity. The right approach isn’t to act on more bacteria, it’s to target the active troublemaker with precision, and leave the rest of the community intact.

AI-enhanced development
A data engine that compounds.
Microbiome data + clinical outcomes + formulation performance feed machine-learning models that predict optimal targeting-protein designs, so every application makes the next one faster.
