The same particle, engineered to carry a payload (for example retinol, azelaic acid, niacinamide, or BPO) for added secondary benefits. Developed bespoke per partner; not an off-the-shelf product.

SmartArrow® delivers its clinical results by targeting the biofilm alone, with no chemical active on board. Where a partner does want a payload, the SmartArrow® Plus configuration can concentrate it exactly where it is needed, so far less is required than in a conventional formulation.
SmartArrow® Plus is a custom R&D development. In one example, a BPO-loaded SmartArrow Plus showed strong activity at 0.005–0.05% BPO, around 100× lower than typical in-market BPO products. Payload data is configuration-specific and developed per project.
