Archer™ · precision lysins
Engineered lysins that act on one target, and leave the rest in balance.
Archer™ lysins are proteins tailored to recognise distinct surface features of a single target bacterium, act on it precisely, and leave beneficial species undisturbed.
How it works
Recognise
The lysin is engineered to bind only the surface features of the target bacterium.
Precision Action
On contact, it acts swiftly and specifically on the target bacterium, with activity confirmed in laboratory studies.
Preserve
Beneficial species are left undisturbed, keeping the microbiome in balance.
ArcherZyme® is a phage-derived enzyme that recognises and selectively acts on bacteria associated with underarm odour, such as S. hominis, while leaving the rest of the skin community undisturbed.
A distinct class, not an antibiotic.
Our Archer™ lysins are phage-derived enzymes that act on target bacteria at a molecular level. They differ from small-molecule antibiotics and from live probiotic cultures in both composition and mechanism of action.
Why selective beats broad-spectrum.
Broad-spectrum approaches disrupt the protective commensal community (S. hominis, S. epidermidis) whose loss is now linked to adverse skin outcomes. Selectively addressing only the implicated species preserves that protective ecology.
